Mathematical Development
“1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive, 6,7,8,9,10, then I let it go again…” These Mathematical activities will help to practise key skills before starting school. What number songs does your child already know? What numbers are familiar to them:
- their age?
- address?
- number of people in their household?
Developing 1 to 1 correspondence, naming numerals, recognising amounts (subitising) plus, counting and labelling sets of objects will all be a focus for the Autumn term.
